Job summary

OceanX, a nonprofit advancing ocean science and education, seeks a Senior Manager, Information Technology to lead its global technology function. You will oversee enterprise technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, and user support across offices, vessels, and programs.

Reporting to the COO and CFO, this hands-on leadership role balances strategic oversight with direct execution and day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Must have leadership experience in IT strategy and operations within a global organization.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
Experience with cloud platforms, networks, and end-user computing.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute an enterprise technology strategy aligned with OceanX's priorities and growth plans.
Lead IT planning, governance, budgeting, vendor strategy, technology roadmaps, and investment decisions.
Serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership to ensure technology supports OceanX's programs and operations.
Lead the separation and transition of IT and risk infrastructure from the parent organization.
Oversee networks, cloud platforms, IAM, end-user computing, and core technology services.
Provide hands-on support and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology across global operations.
Oversee cybersecurity and technology risk program, including incident response and DR/BC planning.
