Job summary
Vertex's Data, Technology and Engineering (DTE) team seeks an Associate Director, Strategic Operations - Technology to lead initiatives that streamline DTE operations and scale technology deployments. You will work with technology leaders to design disciplined processes, monitor outcomes, and communicate results to senior leadership.
Strong technical and operations background, executive communication, and collaboration are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years experience typical
- Experience in operations management or management consulting in biotech preferred
- MBA or advanced degree plus domain experience valued
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives to simplify DTE operations and reduce complexity.
- Develop and refine cross-functional planning and prioritization processes.
- Communicate operational performance with executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee technology deployment stage gates, change management, and portfolio reviews.
- Monitor and report metrics of operational performance across DTE.
