Job summary

Amazon's Global OTS Deployment organization oversees a broad portfolio of IT projects, delivering site launches and infrastructure across the globe. As a Senior IT Deployment Program Manager, you will lead projects, manage scope, schedule, resources, and risks, coordinating with onsite and remote teams worldwide to deliver value to customers.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience, a Bachelor's degree, PMP certification, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with project management.
• Experience working with networks, IT infrastructure, or system integration.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage IT projects from beginning to end, including scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and execution.
• Provide project management and direction to ensure timelines, risks, escalation paths and roles are clear.
• Act as escalation point for project team and stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of hardware and equipment standards to ensure proper orders.
• Proactively manage change control and communicate impact on scope, risks, issues, and contingency plans.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
• Track and communicate milestones, deliverables and risks.
• Provide on-site monitoring of installation schedules and vendor quality and ensure proper follow-up.
• Facilitate formal turnover with onsite team and monitor deliverables to milestone.
• Daily collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Update or develop critical process documentation.
