Job summary

Reddit is seeking a pragmatic, strategic IP expert to join our Legal team to drive global IP strategy and provide seasoned counsel across the business. You will oversee the IP portfolio, shape litigation and strategic posture on copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secrets, and collaborate with engineering, product, and outside counsel to protect Reddit’s brand and innovations.

Qualified candidates hold a JD and current US bar admission, with 10+ years in IP litigation, ideally with tech

Qualifications

• JD degree and current license in a US state bar.
• 10+ years of IP litigation experience, preferably with big law and in-house tech experience.
• Strong understanding of copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret law.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Reddit’s worldwide IP litigation strategy.
• Oversee and align the IP portfolio with business priorities.
• Shape international litigation stance on diverse IP matters.
• Advise cross-functional partners on copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret matters.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and outside counsel to mitigate IP risk and protect Reddit’s brand and innovations.
