Global Investigator- National Security

As a member of the Global Investigations Team, you will carry out ad hoc investigations and perform time-sensitive blockchain analysis for our partners, while developing scalable solutions to enable this company’s rapid growth. You will work alongside a team of seasoned blockchain intelligence experts, engineers, and data scientists to provide cutting-edge support to the company’s clients.

This position will be a hybrid model in Odenton, MD.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Investigate complex cases related to phishing, blockchain exploits, hacks, terrorism financing, account takeovers (ATOs), money laundering, SIM swaps, ransomware, and other illicit blockchain activities.
• Create insightful reports and present findings both in written format and through briefings to their clients.
• Conduct long-term research on significant crime categories in the blockchain space, converting this research into actionable intelligence.
• Handle sensitive and intricate investigations for their partners.
• Proactively identify and build relationships with industry partners to enhance company’s attribution capabilities at scale.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
• Practical experience with virtual currencies and blockchain analysis is a plus, but enthusiasm to learn about these topics is essential.
• 3-5 years of experience as an investigator or analyst, either in the private or public sector.
• Experience delivering briefings to senior leaders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize critical issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team and engage with individuals at all organizational levels.
• A commitment to supporting your team and helping achieve collective goals.
