Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks an entrepreneurial VAT Senior Manager to lead global indirect tax engagements for multinational clients and to grow the West Coast market. You will shape tax offerings and leverage technology-enabled delivery models to drive business value.

The role blends client leadership, tax technology, and market development, with opportunities to mentor teams and expand client relationships across advisory, compliance, and transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Eight years of progressive indirect tax experience with a major accounting, consulting, legal, or multinational organization.
• Active and in good standing: CPA, JD, IBFD, CTA, or CA with tax designation.
• Deep knowledge of international VAT and GST regimes.
• Experience advising multinational businesses on global indirect tax matters.
• Experience with tax technology, ERP systems, automation, e-invoicing, or digital tax transformation initiatives.
• Strong business development capabilities and a proven ability to identify and convert market opportunities.
• Track record of developing teams and mentoring future leaders.
• Existing West Coast market relationships strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead trusted advisor role to multinational clients on VAT and GST matters.
• Oversee large-scale global indirect tax engagements across advisory, compliance, technology, and transformation projects.
• Advise clients on indirect tax implications of global operations, supply chains, ERP implementations, and e‑commerce models.
• Collaborate with the RSM International network to deliver coordinated global solutions.
