Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Procurement Operations Manager- Raws in Chicago to lead categories and a small team in building and maintaining a lean, reliable inbound supply chain for manufacturing. The role emphasizes high-performing team behaviors and applying SCM tools and processes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, strong supplier relationship management knowledge, and a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 5 years of procurement and/or supply chain experience required.
• In-depth understanding of the supply chain and supplier relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and implement risk mitigation strategies, inventory management practices, and continuous improvement programs.
• Manage high impact categories to supply chain.
• Implement sourcing strategies and support capital reduction initiatives.
• Provide coaching and development support for 1–2 indirect reports.
• Develop and execute materials management strategies balancing service levels with inventory and obsolescence minimization.
