Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to advise the General Counsel Director for Enterprise Operations and International Employment Law on a broad range of US and global employment issues. This on-site role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and coordinating with outside counsel on complex matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.
• Minimum 5 years of experience advising on and managing employment law matters in law firm and/or in house environment.
• State bar membership (licensed and admitted to practice in the U.S.).
• Effective interpersonal and presentation skills; written and verbal communication excellence.
• Outstanding organization and prioritization skills with decisive input.
• Experience drafting client memoranda, legal responses, affidavits, position statements and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of employment issues across the United States and global matters.
• Prepare legal updates on emerging employment law issues and interact with outside counsel.
• Draft employment and separation agreements and provide counseling to internal clients.
• Represent enterprise operations in administrative charges or complaints related to discrimination, retaliation, and wage issues.
