Job summary

Stark Carpet Corporation is seeking an Import Specialist to join our Imports Department. This role supports purchasing and order management for direct-to-customer orders across fabrics, wallcoverings, trims, and related products sourced from mills worldwide.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple orders, coordinate with Sales, customers, and mills, and provide timely updates on availability, production, and shipping timelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in purchasing, import coordination, or order management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work independently across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between Sales reps and supplier mills for DIR orders.
• Transmit purchase orders to domestic and international mills.
• Verify pricing, quantities and shipping instructions.
• Monitor open orders and follow up with vendors.
• Maintain records of all order activity and communications.
• Coordinate shipment info and tracking.
• Escalate delays or quality concerns as needed.
• Provide timely updates on product availability and shipping status.
