Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking an Import Coordinator to manage international and domestic shipments, ensure accurate entry writing, and maintain customs compliance. You will coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and brokers while maintaining precise shipment records in CargoWise.

This role demands strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders, proficiency in CargoWise, and knowledge of HTS classifications to ensure timely deliveries and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in import operations, freight forwarding, or logistics.
• Experience with Entry Writing and U.S. Customs regulations.
• Strong experience using CargoWise software.
• Experience handling Ocean Freight Imports (FCL/LCL).
• Knowledge of domestic transportation and delivery coordination.
• Familiarity with HTS classifications, customs documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin through final delivery.
• Manage ocean freight import shipments, including FCL and LCL cargo.
• Track shipments and provide timely status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate delivery appointments and final-mile domestic transportation.
• Communicate with ocean carriers, steamship lines, trucking companies, warehouses, and freight forwarders.
• Resolve shipment delays, customs holds, demurrage, detention, and delivery issues.
