Job summary

Milwaukee Electronics seeks a Test Development Engineer to coordinate manufacturing test solutions for PCBA, serving as the liaison between customer design teams and internal test engineering and manufacturing groups.

Based in Canby, Oregon, you will work with teams in Milwaukee and Tecate to ensure ICT test readiness, DFt, fixtures, and production test strategies across sites; you will drive testability improvements and support New Product Introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or technical project management.
• Experience supporting PCBA manufacturing test development, including ICT environments.
• Experience coordinating test fixture development and manufacturing test solutions.
• Experience working within an electronics manufacturing or EMS environment.
• Experience supporting ICT test systems, flying probe testing, or automated manufacturing test environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between customer design teams and internal test engineering teams to support development of manufacturing test solutions.
• Coordinate closely with Test Engineering teams in Milwaukee, WI and Tecate, Mexico to support ICT test development and production readiness.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables related to ICT test development, test fixture design, and production test readiness.
• Coordinate development of ICT test fixtures and test programs for PCBA assemblies.
• Work with customer design teams to ensure Design for Testability (DFT) requirements are incorporated into PCB designs.
• Collaborate with internal test engineers to define test strategies, coverage requirements, and fixture specifications.
• Coordinate with external development partners for fixture design and test solution development when applicable.
• Ensure manufacturing test solutions are ready to support prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Track and resolve issues related to test development, fixture readiness, and production test performance.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds by ensuring test readiness and assisting with troubleshooting during early production.
• Facilitate communication across customer engineering teams, internal engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in post-build reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to improve test coverage, product quality, and production yield.
• Document project progress and provide status updates to stakeholders across multiple manufacturing locations.
