Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Firmware Test Engineer II to join our engineering team in Brookfield, WI. You will design, develop, and execute tests for firmware on embedded systems, collaborating with cross‑functional groups to ensure quality across new products.

The role requires 2+ years of verification/validation testing, hands‑on experience with HIL, schematics reading, LabVIEW or Test Stand, and scripting in Python or C/C++. Travel up to 10% and a strong problem‑solving mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read schematics and understand digital/analog circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and troubleshoot test procedures for firmware on embedded systems.
• Facilitate review of engineering requirements for test needs.
• Lead peer-review of test designs and automation.
• Support development of test plans to validate firmware against requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality in new product development.
