Job summary

Our client, a leading manufacturer of electrical and industrial products, seeks a New Product Development Test Technician to join the Engineering Test Lab in Milwaukee. You will support Product Development, Quality, and Engineering teams with hands-on testing and detailed data collection.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, coordinating test activities, documenting results, and contributing to design verification and validation while working with advanced testing equipment and regulatory

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical, environmental, EMC/EMI, and certification testing for new product development.
• Execute UL, CSA, IEC, and other regulatory testing and document results.
• Operate oscilloscopes, DMMs, power analyzers, DAQ systems, and power supplies.
• Troubleshoot test setups, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
• Create detailed test reports and collaborate with engineering on design verification.

As a New Product Development Test Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Test Lab supporting Product Development, Quality, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Pay Range:$37-$43/hr

What's the Job?

• Conduct electrical, environmental, EMC/EMI, and certification testing to support new product development projects.
• Execute UL, CSA, IEC, and other regulatory compliance testing and document results.
• Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, and power supplies.
• Troubleshoot products and test setups, identify root causes of failures, and support corrective actions.
• Create detailed test reports and collaborate with engineering teams on design verification and validation activities.

What's Needed?

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of product testing, electronics testing, engineering laboratory, or validation testing experience.
• Experience performing UL, CSA, IEC, or other regulatory certification testing.
• Hands-on experience with EMC/EMI testing processes and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, use oscilloscopes and digital multimeters, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
