Job summary

SGS in the United States is seeking a Global Technology Manager, ICP, to lead the development and deployment of ICP-OES and ICP-MS methodologies across SGS's minerals laboratories worldwide.

You will mentor teams, drive method validation, QA/QC, and collaborate with equipment manufacturers to keep SGS at the forefront of analytical geochemical testing. Travel internationally as required and contribute to technical publications and client solutions.

Qualifications

• MastersDegree in Chemistry/Geochemistry or related field.
• Significant experience with ICP-OES and ICP-MS in a commercial lab.
• Expertise in analytical method development, validation and implementation.
• Strong QA/QC knowledge and laboratory quality systems.
• Experience leading training and technology transfer activities.
• Ability to manage global operations across regions and cultures.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D for ICP-OES/ICP-MS methodologies across SGS's global minerals network.
• Develop, validate and implement new analytical methods for diverse sample types.
• Monitor industry developments and recommend analytical capability enhancements.
• Collaborate with instrument manufacturers to adopt new technologies.
• Lead global transfer and training of ICP methods across SGS laboratories.
