Carrier is seeking a Codes and Standards Engineer to influence and interpret North American HVAC codes and standards across its product portfolio. You will communicate requirements, lead compliance activities, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure timely, compliant product launches.

The role requires staying current with ASHRAE, NFPA, UL, and other governing bodies, and leading certification efforts with internal and external stakeholders.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of HVAC, regulatory, or codes and standards experience, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Willing and able to travel up to 20%, domestically and internationally.

Mansioni

• Monitor, interpret, and maintain expertise in HVAC codes, standards, and certification requirements from ASHRAE, AHRI, UL, NFPA, ICC, CSA, ISO, IEC, and other bodies.
• Evaluate existing and proposed codes to quantify impacts on product design, performance, safety, and roadmaps.
• Represent the company on industry committees to influence emerging codes and align standards with company objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, quality, manufacturing, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory conformity.
• Provide technical guidance and training on code interpretations to internal stakeholders and regulators.
• Lead compliance assessments, gap analyses, and documentation reviews for new products and technologies.
• Develop and maintain product compliance strategies and internal guidelines for regulatory requirements.
• Support third-party certification activities, including testing, documentation, and audits.
• Track regulatory developments affecting HVAC equipment, energy efficiency, refrigerants, IAQ, and building safety.
• Prepare technical reports and regulatory impact assessments for leadership teams.
