Job summary

Carrier seeks a Codes and Standards Engineer to influence and interpret North American codes and standards across its HVAC product portfolio. This onsite role spans East Syracuse, Palm Beach Gardens, Indianapolis, and Charlotte, coordinating with engineering, product management, quality, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and timely launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of HVAC engineering, regulatory, or codes and standards experience (or Master’s with 5+ years)
• Willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
• Experience with certification agencies and regulatory bodies preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ICC, UL, ISO) and communicate impacts on product design.
• Evaluate proposed codes for regulatory impact on safety, performance, and market access.
• Lead compliance assessments and technical documentation reviews for new products and changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory requirements and timely launches.
• Provide training and guidance on code interpretations to internal and external stakeholders
