Job summary

NKT is seeking a Traveling Jointer/Splicer to install and repair medium and high-voltage cables across the US and internationally. You will splice, terminate and repair cables at customer sites, while following NKT quality standards and OSHA safety rules.

The role involves planning, hazard identification and daily field reporting with extensive travel. Ideal candidates bring HV jointing experience, knowledge of XLPE/EPR/PILC systems, and proficiency reading electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• HV cable installation/repair experience as Splicer/Jointer or Lineman.
• Experience with inline splices, terminations and accessories.
• Knowledge of XLPE, EPR or PILC cables and accessories.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and circuit maps.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate and repair HV cables at customer sites.
• Prepare cables and accessories per NKT specs.
• Perform fault location and electrical testing; interpret results.
• Follow safety programs, permits and take 5 processes.
• Operate company vehicles and specialized equipment safely.
