Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Schaumburg, IL is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the design, qualification, and global launch of next-generation HSIO connector products. You will guide a worldwide engineering organization, partner with customers and sales, and own products from concept through production.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role requires strong technical leadership, a track record of delivering on schedule, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
10 to 15+ years of progressive engineering experience.
5 to 10+ years of project and/or people management experience.
Experience with global teams, customers, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to a global HSIO connectors engineering team.
Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performing team.
Own end-to-end product development from concept to production.
Collaborate with Design, NPI, Operations, and Manufacturing teams—especially with partners in China—to transition products into production.
Present monthly status reports with clear recommendations and risk mitigation.
