Job summary

TikTok is seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to partner with engineering, security, and privacy teams across the globe. You will lead organizational design and talent strategy across multiple time zones and partner with leaders to drive critical HR initiatives.

You will coach leaders on organizational design and talent development while leveraging data analytics to guide decisions. The role requires Mandarin-English bilingual skills and a track record in high-growth tech environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years as an HRBP.
• English and Mandarin bilingual for APAC collaboration.
• Experience partnering with Engineering, Security, Privacy, or Trust & Safety.
• Proven talent management, organizational design, and performance management experience in high-growth environments.
• Proficient with data analysis tools like Tableau, Excel, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy for engineering, security, and privacy operations roadmaps.
• Act as the primary HRBP for a global department across multiple time zones and cross-functional teams.
• Provide strategic coaching on organizational design to rapidly adapt to regulatory pressures and security initiatives.
• Advise on talent assessment, career pathing, and succession planning for specialized roles.
• Lead proactive resolution of complex employee relations issues globally, balancing risk with a culture of innovation and psychological safety.
• Oversee full-cycle performance management with tailored goal-setting and calibration for technical outcomes.
• Leverage people data to provide actionable insights on team health, retention bottlenecks, and scale.
• Collaborate with global HR peers and CoEs to design compensation, engagement, and talent acquisition solutions for top-tier talent.
• Collaborate with HR peers to attract product and design talent across functions.
