Job summary

Emburse, Inc. in Dallas, TX seeks a Director of HR Operations to build and lead a scalable HR operations function across the employee lifecycle. You will manage a team of HR Generalists and partner with Legal, Finance, IT, and COEs to deliver compliant, data-driven services.

This leadership role owns HRIS strategy, governance, performance metrics, and executive reporting, while driving process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled workflows in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR or related field.
• Seven+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience leading HR operations, shared services, or a comparable function.
• Deep knowledge of employee relations, investigations, policy administration, employment compliance, and risk management.
• Experience owning an HRIS roadmap, data governance, integrations, security, reporting, and vendor management.
• Experience using UKG or other HRIS systems.
• Ability to define meaningful HR metrics and translate workforce data into concise executive and Board-level reporting.
• Strong program and portfolio-management experience with cross-functional execution.
• Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasts, and vendor contracts.
• Experience in a high-growth SaaS/tech/consulting/PE environment; automation/AI in HR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, modern HR operations team with clear roles and service standards.
• Design and launch HR tools leveraging technology for disciplined intake, triage, escalation, and knowledge management.
• Own employee performance including investigations, manager guidance, documentation, escalation protocols, and trend analysis with Legal and HRBPs.
• Lead HR compliance and policy administration across applicable geographies.
• Own HRIS strategy, governance, data integrity, security, integrations, releases, vendors, and the roadmap for scalable self-service.
• Establish HR metrics and dashboards connected to Emburse’s business strategy.
• Prepare workforce reporting for executive team, Board, and key stakeholders.
• Own the HR project portfolio and integrated plan with priorities, resources, risks, milestones, and communications.
• Oversee the HR team budget and collaborate with Finance & Accounting on costs and forecast.
• Drive continuous improvement via standardization, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with HR COEs and HRBPs to operationalize programs enterprise-wide.
