Abbott is seeking a Business HR Director to partner with R&D, Product Development, Clinical/Regulatory/Medical Affairs, and Finance—onsite at Sylmar, CA. This role shapes talent strategy, supports leadership development, and drives organizational capability across regional teams.

You will lead talent initiatives, collaborate across countries, and ensure execution of HR programs that enable a high-performance culture. This is a strategic, global HR leadership position with significant impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required with appropriate academic background in HR/IR, OD/IP, STEM, or business.
Advanced HR/IP degree or HR certification preferred.
8-10 years' experience in client-facing HR Business Partner roles.
Demonstrated experience developing relationships with remote partners and HR colleagues.
Ability to influence senior leaders and align org direction, design, and governance.

Responsibilities

Partners with business leaders to define and implement HR programs for high performance and engagement.
Coaches senior leaders to focus on talent capabilities and retention.
Supports leaders in deploying performance management and rewards to drive accountability.
Ensures talent acquisition, development, and succession practices are embedded in the teams.
