Westlake Chemical Corporation is seeking an HR Data Governance Lead to maintain and enforce the data governance framework for the HR ecosystem, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with global privacy regulations.

The role serves as a bridge between HR Operations, People Analytics, IT, Legal and business leaders to translate business rules into concrete data configurations and rigorous auditing practices across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Admin, or related field with 5+ years in HR data management or HR systems.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and organizational skills are crucial.
• Familiarity with data cataloging or governance tools is desirable.
• Understanding of international data privacy laws relating to employee records.
• Excellent stakeholder and project management skills to drive data discipline.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the global HR data governance framework, data dictionary, and KPIs.
• Govern configuration rules for HR data models and security to prevent fragmentation.
• Lead RCA on repeating data errors and partner with Workday Security Administrators.
• Develop and run automated audit schedules within Workday to identify anomalies.
• Collaborate with HR business partners to correct data issues and provide training.
• Establish and facilitate a data governance council across regions and departments.
• Review retention, archiving, and purging schedules for historical records.
