Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an HR Data Governance Lead to maintain the data governance framework for the HR ecosystem. You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of employee data across HR technologies, partnering with HR Operations, People Analytics, IT, and Legal to implement business rules with auditable configurations.

You will drive governance programs, oversee data quality, and lead cross-functional councils to align priorities and enforce compliance with data governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years in HR data management or HR systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with data cataloging or governance tools is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of international data privacy laws relating to employee records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the global HR data governance framework, data dictionary, and KPIs.
• Lead data governance strategy roadmap as project manager.
• Govern configuration rules for Supervisory Organizations, Cost Centers, and Locations to ensure data integrity.
• Assess data integrity impact of Workday releases and mass data loads (EIBs).
• Develop automated audit schedules within Workday to identify anomalies and duplicates.
• Collaborate with HR partners to correct data issues and provide training to prevent recurrence.
• Lead RCA on data errors and fix gaps with Workday Security Administrators.
• Define retention, archiving, and purging schedules for historical records.
• Review and approve custom security groups ensuring least privilege access.
• Establish a data governance council across regions and departments.
• Create data entry docs and job aids to improve literacy among HR partners.
