Rio Tinto is seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to deliver day-to-day Human Resources support across a portfolio of international operations. This role is based in California – Santa Clarita or Greater Los Angeles Area, CA, and Chicago, with potential Boron, CA support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations.
• Experience supporting global or multi-site operations across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to leaders and employees across multiple regions on employee relations and HR processes.
• Partner with global stakeholders to deliver consistent HR support aligning with company standards.
• Manage employee relations matters end-to-end in a multi-country environment.
• Coach leaders on performance management and people practices.
• Execute core HR processes with accuracy and data integrity.
• Support global HR initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with global recruitment and People Services teams for hiring needs.
• Use data and trends to inform decisions and mitigate risks.
