Job summary

AstraZeneca seeks a Global Clinical Program Lead in Hematology to drive the clinical development plan and execution across multiple projects. The role reports to the Global Clinical Head, coordinating with scientific and clinical leaders and external experts to deliver integrated plans that meet regulatory and portfolio objectives.

The successful candidate will have M.D. + 7+ years in drug development, strong hematology/oncology expertise, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• MD required and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in drug development across early and late phases.
• Strong hematology/oncology therapeutic area knowledge.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and matrixed environments.
• Ability to articulate project strategy and clinical need to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated organizational, planning and governance skills.
• Proven success in internal and external collaboration and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Leads clinical development teams responsible for Hematology Oncology therapies from preclinical to Phase 3 investments and regulatory submissions.
• Delivers integrated clinical development plans aligned with business objectives.
• Communicates clinical development strategy at governance meetings to manage risk and investment decisions.
• Oversees translational and regulatory strategies across global development programs.
• Ensures strong CPT effectiveness through collaboration and coaching of cross-functional team members.
