Job summary

PAHO offers internships through its generic internship roster, publishable twice a year, with options for in-person or virtual work from PAHO offices. Interns work on defined projects under supervision, gaining exposure to health programs, communications, external relations, finance or human resources.

Eligibility includes being in the final year of studies or recent graduates, fluency in PAHO working languages, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in final year of bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a master’s/doctoral program, or graduated within the last two years.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with statistical software like XLStat is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review literature and conduct literature surveys.
• Undertake web research and data collection; organize data and documents.
• Participate in development of tools and guidelines.
• Assist in drafting, formatting and editing policy briefs, tool kits, guides/manuals, hand-outs, brochures and reports.
• Assist in organizing workshops, meetings, conferences, events.
• Participate in ongoing departmental projects.
