Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Distinguished Scientist to lead the Transgenic Model & Technology function from its Cambridge, MA site. You will drive genome engineering, mouse genetics, and transgenic model development to accelerate drug discovery across therapeutic areas.

As Global Head of Transgenic Biology, you will guide in vivo and preclinical programs, shape technology strategy, manage budgets, and collaborate across sites and external partners while advancing AI and digital tools in transgenic

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Developmental Biology or related field.
• Extensive post-doctoral or industry experience in mouse genetics and transgenic model development.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership in in vivo/transgenic research.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance genome engineering techniques and mouse genetics for in vivo model development across discovery programs.
• Apply expertise in transgenesis and CRISPR to design and execute validation and efficacy studies.
• Identify new technologies in transgenesis and genome engineering platforms and implement them.
• Act as strategic scientific advisor to research projects across therapeutic areas and study designs.
• Champion integration of AI and digital technologies into transgenic research and data analysis.
