Job summary
Sanofi in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Distinguished Scientist to lead Transgenic Model & Technology globally, directing genome engineering and mouse genetics programs to accelerate drug discovery across therapeutic areas.
You will shape in vivo and preclinical research, champion emerging technologies, and integrate AI and digital platforms into transgenic science while maintaining a strong scientific leadership presence in a large biopharma setting.
Qualifications
- PhD required with extensive post‑doctoral or industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in transgenic science.
- Proven leadership in academic or pharmaceutical R&D.
- Experience with genome engineering platforms and in vivo studies.
Responsibilities
- Lead genome engineering and transgenic model development for discovery.
- Provide strategic scientific direction for in vivo and preclinical programs.
- Oversee cross-functional teams across sites and partners.
- Drive AI and digital tool integration into transgenic research.
- Manage partnerships and contracts for model acquisition.
