AMPP in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Director, Standards & Technical Engagement to lead the strategic strength, quality, and global adoption of AMPP’s standards portfolio. This role guides Standards Operations and Technical Engagement, partnering with the Chief Intelligence & Innovation Officer to advance technical programs and member value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, association management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10-15 years of progressive leadership/management in technical operations, standards development, association management, or related field.
• Track record of improving or repositioning a standards portfolio or technical program.
• Strong business acumen with experience developing commercial strategy within a standards-development environment.
• Technical knowledge of an industry served by AMPP's standards preferred (e.g., pipelines, energy).
• Experience with volunteer-led committees or governance structures at scale; global standards-development experience preferred.
• Strong operations management experience with P&L responsibilities; AI tools knowledge beneficial.
• Experience managing teams, projects, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures; CAE designation or association management experience desirable.

Responsabilités

• Establish and enforce quality standards across the portfolio with clear, verifiable requirements.
• Drive international participation, relevance, and global adoption of AMPP standards.
• Lead portfolio strategy, identify gaps, and accelerate standards development.
• Direct day-to-day Operations of Standards Operations and Technical Engagement.
• Monitor program performance, KPIs, and manage budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to apply AI, automation, and emerging tech.
• Represent AMPP on technical committees and external forums.
