Job summary

Alto Neuroscience, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement to lead global vendor contracting and management across research and clinical operations.

You will own procurement strategy, policy and end‑to‑end supplier agreements, partnering with Legal, Finance, Quality and Compliance. The role requires 10+ years in biotech or life sciences procurement and deep, hands-on contract experience with MSAs, CDAs, CRO/CDMO, clinical supply terms, and vendor governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive procurement leadership in biotech, pharma or life sciences.
• Strong track record drafting and negotiating commercial contracts independently.
• Experience with CRO/CDMO, clinical supply and quality agreements.
• Working knowledge of GxP, FDA/EMA requirements for suppliers.
• SOX controls and governance in a public or pre-IPO setting.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a global procurement strategy aligned with R&D, clinical and commercial roadmap.
• Lead and scale a high-performing procurement and contracts function.
• Develop policy and SOX-compliant controls for purchasing decisions.
• Draft, review and negotiate MSAs, CDAs, CRO/CDMO and related agreements.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Quality, Operations and Compliance on templates and playbooks.
• Oversee procure-to-pay, spend analytics and supplier performance reviews.
