Job summary

Rush & Company in New York City is seeking an experienced Director of Production to lead end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations for our home fashions division. You will oversee raw material sourcing, textile procurement, cutting, sewing, finishing, and final packaging to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production management experience in textiles/home fashions/soft goods.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of textile construction and sewing operations.
• Proficient in ERP/production management software and Microsoft Office.
• Leadership, decision-making under tight deadlines and strong communication.
• Ability to provide work-related references.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day manufacturing workflows from design handover to final packaged goods.
• Coordinate with mills, trim suppliers, and overseas or domestic plants to manage costs and timelines.
• Build and maintain production schedules aligned with seasonal drops and forecasts.
• Enforce quality control checkpoints for fabric integrity and sizing specifications.
• Monitor budgets, reduce waste, and implement lean manufacturing improvements.
• Lead and mentor production supervisors and shop floor staff across shifts.
