Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Director of Textiles to lead sourcing, development, costing, and production of woven fabrics across multiple brands in the United States. The role oversees the textile team, drives supplier partnerships, and works across Design, Product Development, Production, and Merchandising to meet quality, cost, and calendar objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, or related field preferred.
10+ years of textile sourcing or management experience in apparel.
Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics, construction, dyeing, finishing, and testing.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Textiles team, overseeing fabric sourcing, costing, negotiation, booking, and production.
Utilize technical expertise in woven fabrics, including dyeing, finishing, and cost optimization.
Partner with Design, Product Development, Production, and Merchandising to solve challenges.
Research and evaluate mills and suppliers aligned with brand vision and margins.
Review fabric qualities for pricing, delivery, performance, and feasibility.
Ensure quality standards and approvals before bulk production.
Lead weekly WIP meetings to monitor timelines and risks.
Communicate production challenges and solutions to senior leadership.
