Job summary

3M is seeking a Senior Global Manager, Application Engineering – Electrical Architecture & Electronics to lead the global EA&E organization across Automotive, Commercial Vehicles, and Rail, including automotive display films.

Based at the 3M Center in Livonia, MI, you will translate customer and market insights into platform architectures, drive NPI opportunities, and collaborate with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and internal teams to accelerate growth and achieve first-to-market concepts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
7+ years in Application Engineering or similar.
10+ years customer-facing technical experience.
Experience leading teams across multiple countries or regions.
Deep knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic architecture and related trends.

Responsibilities

Lead global EA&E team supporting customers and growth priorities across Automotive, Commercial Vehicles, and Rail.
Collaborate with the Customer Solutions Architect to translate insights into prioritized architectures and NPI opportunities.
Develop modular, platform-based EA&E solution architectures enabling reuse across regions and vehicle lines.
Drive cross-portfolio growth programs and engage OEMs and Tier suppliers early in platform definition.
Influence R&D investment priorities and ensure first-to-market concepts.
