Job summary

Morningstar seeks a transformational Head of Data Operations to oversee global data acquisition, enrichment, and delivery, driving modernization of workflows and operating models. You will partner with strategy and product leaders to implement AI-enabled capabilities and scalable data solutions.

Based at Morningstar's Chicago headquarters, you will lead a ~700-person organization, drive governance, and ensure regulatory and client-focused data delivery excellence across multiple data domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of executive leadership experience in large-scale data acquisition, operations, or transformation.
• Strong understanding of financial, investment, reference, and/or market data ecosystems and data delivery at scale.
• Proven track record leading automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and workflow modernization to improve scalability and quality.
• Experience leading globally distributed teams through major organizational change and operating model evolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead global data acquisition, enrichment, quality management, and delivery at scale.
• Partner with Data Strategy, Product, Research, and Technology to execute data roadmap and modernization.
• Drive governance, risk, and cross-functional alignment with senior leadership.
• Champion AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency and throughput.
