Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a Manager of Data Quality & Controls to lead enterprise data governance, quality checks, and controls across platforms, ensuring regulatory and enterprise data accuracy. The role partners with Data Management, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to embed strong data practices.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years building governance programs in regulated financial services, with expertise in data quality, metadata, lineage, and AI-ready data controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5+ years building data controls governance in regulated financial services.
• Experience authoring policies, standards, and procedures for data quality and governance.
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and enhancement of the enterprise data controls framework.
• Develop standards for data quality, metadata, lineage, and documentation.
• Partner with Data Mgmt, Tech, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Product on data governance.
• Coach and develop a team of data analysts and drive governance best practices.
