Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Head of Client Identity Engineering to define and deliver the global client identity strategy, architecture, and engineering capabilities. You will oversee security, resilience, and operation of enterprise-scale identity platforms serving millions of client interactions across web, mobile, contact center, and AI-enabled channels.

Qualifications

Extensive leadership of global client identity, digital identity, or cybersecurity engineering teams.
Deep knowledge of identity architectures, proofing, authentication, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
Experience with cloud platforms, security, and regulated environments.
Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain senior engineers and leaders.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder influence, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

Define and execute global client identity strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap.
Lead globally distributed teams across architecture, development, resilience, and operations.
Establish reusable identity platforms, APIs, and developer tooling for broad adoption.
Drive risk management, privacy, and regulatory alignment across markets and channels.
Partner with executives to modernize platforms and enable secure, scalable experiences.
