Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a senior leader to drive global development of a cancer vaccine asset, from late preclinical stages through regulatory submission and launch across major markets. The role requires experience in oncology vaccines, strong cross-functional leadership, and deep regulatory acumen.

The position is anchored in a global Oncology R&D framework, with accountability for portfolio strategy, resource planning, and collaboration with senior governance committees to maximize asset

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in a relevant field (MD/PhD/PharmD/MBA/MS).
• Experience leading successful development and registration of medicines, including cancer vaccines or immuno-oncology products.
• Filing experience with regulatory submissions (BLA/NDA/MAA).
• Experience navigating R&D across discovery, development, regulatory, manufacturing and commercial stages.

Responsibilities

• Act as single point of accountability for global development of a cancer vaccine asset.
• Lead cross-functional MDT across clinical development, manufacturing, regulatory and commercial.
• Develop and implement the Medicine Development Strategy aligned with oncology priorities.
• Oversee asset budgeting, resourcing and lifecycle strategies for the cancer vaccine program.
