Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Director of Device Trial Services to lead strategic planning, commercial positioning, and execution of medical device and IVD clinical trials across the Quest network. This role partners with R&D, Finance, Legal, Quality, Sales, and Lab Operations to drive sponsor relations and innovative trial solutions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in device/IVD trials, regulatory knowledge, and proven leadership across complex, matrixed organizations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive clinical research and development experience within the pharmaceutical, medical device, IVD, or CRO sectors.
• 5+ years of direct experience in medical device/IVD trial design, development, and commercial execution, with at least 3 years in a dedicated people management or enterprise leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Build multi-year growth strategy, commercial roadmap, and market leadership position for Device Trial Services.
• Operational Excellence & Execution: Oversee global service delivery across Quest laboratories and partner sites; manage cross-functional processes.
• Financial Ownership & P&L Management: Own profitability, revenue, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for the unit.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Build and lead a cross-functional team; establish competencies and performance metrics.
