Job summary

Fung Group in the United States seeks a senior merchandising professional to coordinate cross‑functional global teams, manage sourcing, and shepherd items from concept to shipment. You will drive market analysis, pre-costing, and item profitability while coordinating packaging and artwork across suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in merchandising or business, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years merchandising, product development or sourcing experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong ability to multi-task, anticipate and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of textiles or other materials used to create products in categories mentioned.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
• CAD capability a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the customer and overseas sourcing teams specific to their role.
• Research, identify and analyze market trends and product categories to help drive sales and propose new items to the customer.
• Responsible for obtaining all quoting information, costs & samples from overseas teams.
• Purchases necessary samples and sends overseas for costing.
• Work with sourcing teams on product details and cost design within pricing strategy.
• Upload data/documents into the customer's system and submit supplier samples by deadline.
• Own pre-costing calculation for new items to ensure profitability.
• Complete new item proposal forms and retail comparisons for all businesses.
• Manage factory compliance forms and communicate to compliance teams.
• Uphold key dates on the production calendar from concept to shipment.
• Oversee workmanship, quality, and fit for relevant orders.
• Approve lab dips, print strike-offs and trim details for textile orders.
• Communicate approvals/changes to overseas teams and suppliers.
• Manage the QA testing process and timelines with customer QA teams.
• Oversee artwork packaging from design to completion including photography.
• Direct the graphic artist on initial artwork and photoshoot planning.
• Coordinate packaging approvals and revisions with the customer.
• Distribute artwork files to overseas sourcing teams within timelines.
• Manage packaging sample submissions & approvals with suppliers.
