Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with Finance, Operations, and Technology for a Global GL implementation. The role focuses on documenting current-state and future-state processes, mapping data flows, and gathering detailed business requirements for SAP or Oracle environments.

You will support testing, change management, and ensure alignment with financial objectives. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in finance-related BA roles, strong communication skills, and proven experience

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Business Analyst experience in finance, ERP, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with General Ledger, Finance, or financial systems/processes preferred.
• Experience supporting an SAP or Oracle implementation/transformation required.
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and UAT.
• Ability to document complex data flows and upstream/downstream data sources.
• Experience working across Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Financial services experience strongly required.
• Excellent communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Technology and stakeholders to document current and future-state workflows.
• Gather and document business and functional requirements for the Global GL implementation.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and operating models.
• Identify data origins, data flows, and downstream dependencies.
• Conduct gap analysis between current-state and future-state requirements.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and workshops with stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for project and technology teams.
• Support UAT planning, scenarios, execution coordination, defect tracking, and sign-off.
• Ensure implemented solution meets agreed-upon business requirements.
• Maintain documentation throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Support change management and business readiness for the GL transition.
