Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC in St. Louis, MO, seeks a qualified Winding Technician for the Repairs Division to perform repair functions on Generator Fields, Stators, High Voltage Bushings, and excitation equipment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years’ experience, and the ability to travel 50% (including international). Must pass a pulmonary function test and wear a respirator; strong communication and manual dexterity required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or trade school training.
• At least 3 years’ experience in winding or repair work.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
• Must pass pulmonary function test and wear a respirator.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install retaining rings with induction heating.
• Remove, clean, and install field coils.
• Rewedge the Generator Stator.
• Repair the End Windings.
• Stator bar replacement.
• Clean, re-eye, and paint.
• High Voltage Bushing and Standoff Bushing replacement.
• Core Iron repair/replacement.
• Installation of 2-piece clips.
