Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC is seeking a qualified Winding Technician for the Repairs Division in St. Louis, MO.

You will perform repair functions on generator fields, stators, high voltage bushings, and related equipment, with duties including coil removal, stator rewedge, and end winding repairs. The role requires apprenticeship or trade school, at least 3 years of experience, and the ability to travel 50% (including international).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED/Apprenticeship classes or trade school required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in winding repair or related field.
• Willing to travel a minimum of 50%, including internationally.
• Must pass pulmonary function test and wear a respirator.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of winding repair processes and associated techniques.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install retaining rings with induction heating.
• Remove, clean, and install field coils.
• Rewedge the Generator Stator and repair End Windings.
• Perform stator bar replacement and core iron repair.
• Assist with painting, brazing, tapping, insulating, and installing 2-piece clips.
