Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC in St. Louis, MO is seeking a qualified Winding Technician to join our Repairs Division. You will perform repair functions on Generator Fields, Stators, and related equipment, with travel up to 50% and international assignments.

The role requires 3+ years’ experience, a high school diploma or trade school, and ability to pass a pulmonary function test and wear a respirator. Strong manual dexterity and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in winding repair or related electrical generator work.
• Willing to travel a minimum of 50%, including international assignments.
• Must pass a pulmonary function test and wear a respirator.
• Good visual and auditory acuity enabling precise workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install retaining rings with induction heating.
• Remove, clean, and install field coils.
• Rewedge the Generator Stator.
• Repair End Windings and Stator bars.
• Perform cleaning, red-eyeing, and painting.
• Replace High Voltage and Standoff bushings; replacement of core iron.
