Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Gateway Terminal Technical Ops Engineer to lead remote and on-site antenna fault analysis, calibration, and software updates across global ground terminals. Travel up to 50% will be required.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to keep terminals aligned with program objectives, and you will communicate status and risks to leadership. A bachelor’s degree and space/satellite operations experience are preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in RF, Aerospace, or related technical discipline.
- Experience in Space Vehicle/Satellite Operations or Space Communications.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and support.
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis.
- RF, aerospace or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Address and remediate antenna faults, alarms, and anomalies.
- Perform on-site fault analysis and troubleshooting of gateway antennas.
- Maintain and update antenna calibrations as necessary.
- Perform software updates/upgrades of antenna components.
- Manage interactions with partners to meet milestones and technical requirements.
- Work with teams to maintain operational terminals aligned with goals.
- Develop team training plans and materials.
- Communicate status, risks and change control to senior management.
