Job summary

Savino Del Bene GmbH is seeking an Operations Manager - Import and Export to join our Denver team. You will oversee branch operations, coach staff, and ensure accurate processing of import and export documents while complying with regulations.

The role demands strong communication, organizational skills, and cost-conscious process improvements. You will coordinate with carriers, customers, and overseas agents to ensure timely shipments and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's strongly desired.
• Minimum 4 years experience with a freight forwarder or import/export agency.
• Experience in international and domestic shipments.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and export/import regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; math for dimension conversions.
• Highly organized, multi-tasking, and team oriented.
• Professional and courteous demeanor; ethical standards.
• Bi-lingual or multi-lingual welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage branch staff and operations.
• Coach, develop, and lead staff to deliver service goals.
• Receive, review, and process import/export documentation.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and agencies.
• Obtain quotes and source best transportation options.
• Coordinate with overseas agents for pre-alerts and docs.
• Track shipments and provide client updates; manage billing.
• Maintain relationships with airlines, brokers, and sales.
• Assist as backup for alternate accounts; perform other duties.
