Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries, LLC is seeking an International Transportation Specialist to monitor and execute cost-effective and timely movement of goods across our Logistics network, including import and export shipments. You will maintain accurate freight information and update internal systems to reflect current contracts and amendments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or related field is required.
• 3 years in a business/office environment with experience in logistics is desirable.
• Strong understanding of international environment and transportation/logistics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Effective time management and organizational skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with transportation laws and regulations; resolve issues.
• Assist with contract negotiations; manage contract amendments and update systems.
• Assign carriers based on contracts, volume, and demand; monitor performance and costs.
• Review requirements to reduce costs while meeting contractual commitments.
