Job summary

GRAMMER Americas in Shannon, MS is seeking a Logistics Operations Engineer to join our team. You will coordinate inbound and outbound freight, track shipments, and ensure cost‑effective delivery across ocean, air, postal, truck, and parcel modes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 1 year in a similar role, and knowledge of domestic and international carrier operations. Automotive industry experience is required, and occasional domestic/international travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in international business, industrial engineering, supply chain, or related field.
Minimum 1 year in a similar logistics role.
Understanding of domestic and international carrier operations (Ohio and Mississippi).
Automotive industry experience required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally when needed.

Responsibilities

Develop short and long-term logistics strategy to support customer requirements.
Plan and coordinate shipments from origin to destination, considering transit times, cost, and legal requirements.
Handle shipping documents and customs paperwork; ensure accuracy.
Support Transportation Management System implementation and rollout.
Identify and implement new carriers/lanes to reduce cost and improve quality.
Track shipments; monitor and resolve delays or issues.
