Job summary

Balsam Brands is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Boise to manage inbound freight operations, drayage movements, and container scheduling, working closely with the Senior Logistics Manager and the Operations team.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with 3PLs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, strong data discipline, and proactive issue resolution to support growth in our global inbound program.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of inbound or import freight coordination.
• Hands-on exposure to ocean container movements.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, drayage carriers, and 3PL warehouse partners.
• Strong data reconciliation and organizational skills; able to work across multiple shipment records.
• Proven ability to manage exceptions under time pressure and route issues to owners.
• Demonstrated AI literacy to understand and apply AI in business functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments from initial request through delivery.
• Support non-standard, expedited, or specialized transportation requests.
• Gather shipment requirements and inform internal teams and logistics partners.
• Coordinate communication among suppliers, retail partners, warehouses, 3PLs and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain clear ownership, status and next steps for assigned shipments.
• Create shipping labels and transportation documents for approved requests.
• Validate shipment instructions, delivery requirements, routing information, and handoffs.
• Follow up on missing or incomplete information to enable shipment execution.
• Maintain organized shipment documentation and records.
• Support administrative logistics activities for assigned programs.
• Assist with collection and consolidation of projected shipment volumes.
• Support container, transportation, and capacity forecasting activities.
• Identify gaps or risks and communicate to the owner.
• Support peak-season preparation and data validation.
• Monitor shipments for milestones, issues and data discrepancies; escalate when needed.
• Track carrier and 3PL performance against SLAs and flag issues.
