Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. is seeking an Inventory and Freight Specialist to coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring accurate inventory and regulatory compliance. You will manage documentation, audits, and carrier performance while optimizing costs and service levels.

The role requires knowledge of SAP, TMS, and export/import regulations, with strong organizational and communication skills to support ongoing logistics operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Supply Chain preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of air, ocean, import/export operations and domestic transportation.
• Familiarity with state, federal, and international laws and regulations (DOT, customs, TSA, etc.).
• Knowledge of global trade rules and commodity classifications.
• Understanding of freight rate construction and application.
• Experience with SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to travel and work independently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments via all transport modes.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor transportation performance and ensure carrier compliance.
• Provide freight rates to support new components and supplier acquisitions.
• Consolidate and optimize shipping methods to reduce costs and simplify processes.
• Update SAP/TMS data and maintain shipment documentation.
• Audit freight charges and supplier invoices for accuracy.
• Conduct export/import compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
• Manage documentation, Denied Party Screening, and regulatory compliance.
