Cytek Biosciences is seeking a Principal System Architect to define the architecture of next-generation flow cytometry platforms. You will translate customer, application, and business needs into robust instrument designs, focusing on subsystem architecture, reliability, and cross-functional execution with global teams and suppliers, including partners in China.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or master's degree in a relevant engineering or physical science field.
• 8+ years designing complex analytical or life-science instrumentation.
• Experience leading architecture decisions and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system architecture for flow cytometry instruments.
• Define system requirements and performance budgets balancing cost and reliability.
• Lead fluidics subsystem architecture including sample handling and flow cell design.
• Drive reliability activities: FMEA, fault tree analysis, root cause analysis, corrective actions.
• Establish and track system-level reliability goals (uptime, MTBF, maintenance).
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, manufacturing, service, and NPI teams.
• Work with suppliers in China to align requirements and drive on-time execution.
• Participate in supplier development, design reviews, risk mitigation, issue resolution.
• Guide subsystem teams through integration, verification, validation.
• Support design for manufacturability, serviceability, and supply-chain resilience.
